Adult Day Health Program

On August 3, 2009, SMEC opened the doors to our new Adult Day Health Program. Located in our former Administrative Office Building on Acushnet Avenue in New Bedford, the SMEC ADH program serves individuals aged 22+ who have been found eligible for Medicaid-funded Adult Day Health services.

As an additional day program option for our adult consumers, SMEC ADH offers age-appropriate activities throughout the day, community trips, hot lunch, snacks, social and recreational opportunities. A nurse is on site daily to oversee medication/medical issues. A monthly schedule is developed with input from the attendees. Door to door transportation is provided.
